Flutronix has several customizable workshops available for music students K-12
(see options below)
Creative Collaboration
a youth arts workshop
Flutronix believes that all students have the power to be creators. The Creative Collaboration workshop aims to provide students with the opportunity to explore their artistic voice through a process that promotes imagination, discovery, diplomacy and camaraderie. The duo will lead an engaging collaborative exercise, where students will conceptualize, develop and perform an original piece of music while learning to work cooperatively in a creative group setting. This workshop is designed for all ages, grades K-12, and requires a minimum of 45 minutes. Musical instruments will be utilized when available, but are not required.

Beyond the Orchestra
an exploration of classical instruments in contemporary music
Using guided discussion and listening examples, this workshop presents a comprehensive overview of artists who have put classical instruments to use in non-traditional ways, including improvisation, sampling, specialized extended techniques, integration of electronics and more. Following the workshop, Flutronix will present a short performance to provide a live example of a uniquely stylized application of classical performance. For continued study and expansion following this introductory course, each student will be provided with a web link to an online playlist featuring the music examples presented and discussed. The content of this class is particularly engaging because it exposes students to a wide range of music featuring traditional instruments, inspiring them to think outside of the box as young artists.
